Take Diamond; leave O’Dwyer
Every human being – from which I exclude politicians – knows the banks have engaged in criminal activity. Where there is a crime, there should be a prosecution. But the UK government will do everything it can to avoid prosecuting the banks.
So today I call on the US authorities to demand the extradition of Bob Diamond from the UK to the US to face allegations of both rate and share price manipulation.
If they want Richard O’Dwyer, they must be straining at the leash for Bob Diamond. Richard O’Dwyer has never operated in the US; Barclays does. Take Diamond; leave O’Dwyer.
