BLOGS: a timely scam warning for gamers
It’s E3 time again.
The Electronic Entertainment Expo, or E3, opens in Los Angeles on June 15th. There will be a lot of news coming out of this major expo and that means a lot of press. Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo are all set to announce new games and motion control devices that are certain to attract a lot of players.
Randy Abrams points out in the ESET Threat Blog that the bad guys home in on events like this. Gamers will be looking for E3-related information, and the scammers will be happy to oblige.
No doubt there will be a lot of exciting news coming out of E3, but no good news will be coming to you from unsolicited emails. Watch the links you choose to click on and stick with well known sources for your news about the games.
