You know how we tend to apply personalities to our pets? Well we once had a Jack Russell who was a bit of a philosopher. When faced with a deep political or ethical dilemma, he had a stock response: “Might be, might not be; it all depends…”

He has returned, re-incarnate as the European Parliament’s internal legal service. It was asked for an opinion on the legality of ACTA, and its considered opinion is, ‘might be, might not be; it all depends…’
